Yesterday was another hot day in St. Louis – reaching 100 degrees. I am staying comfortable during the day working under my ceiling fan, and sleeping very well at night with windows open and fan blowing. I’m still trying to leave the air conditioner off. Actually, my body is becoming more comfortable with the heat, and walking outside during the day doesn’t feel terribly hot. I guess I am getting used to it. Thankfully I did not need to drive anywhere yesterday.
I watered my garden early in the morning and brought every plant in a pot from around the house to catch the drops which were hitting the driveway. Even two humming birds were playing in the mist of the sprinkler then flying to the Canus plants, then back to the sprinklers – that was fun to watch.
My grass is getting tall, but it is too hot to mow – both for me and for the grass.
Last night I re-did my Cultural Artifact Art Gallery pages on my website (artbystrongheart.com), adding items coming back from a showing in Philadelphia and removing some of the recently sold pieces.
