The weather here in St. Louis these past two days has been beautiful! A little chilly at night, slightly brisk in the morning and just PERFECT during the day. Since I have not been using my air conditioning but a few days this summer, the fan has been running pretty regularly. That went off two days ago, so if the weather continues, that should help on my electric usage.
But, never let it be said that good deeds go unpunished…
Over the weekend it was rainy, and because I had gotten so busy with all the paperwork involved in my changes at work I hadn’t gotten around to doing laundry until it was essential (you know, when you either have to do laundry or go out and buy new underthings) which meant I actually used the dryer instead of hanging the clothes outside to dry. Funny how I used to use the dryer constantly without thinking about it, now when I use it I feel as though I have just thrown $5 out the door and let the wind carry it away. This will probably off-set the fan being off.
I have been up to my ears in paperwork (I’m still waiting on the paperless society we were promised) and haven’t gotten the gloves I use to work on my art – nor had the time to actually work on my art (12 hour days leave little time for anything else). Which would generally be fine, but I have an art show the end of this month, and I’ve had some nice sales off of my website this past month.
For some reason my ArtbyStrongheart website is not working today – I’ll have to see why. Please check back to view my Cultural Artifact Art!
Finally, a reminder for those in St. Louis, on September 29th I will be at the Ferguson StreetFest’s Local Artisan Fair in Ferguson, Missouri from noon to 6pm.
