The “Bringing in the Reign of God through the Millennium Development Goals” art exhibit came down yesterday. The walls always look so bare when the art comes down, but I think people really enjoyed the exhibit, and I’m looking forward to seeing what folks have to offer for the next one. The next exhibit – “Saints” goes up the end of October – the Sunday before All Saints Day. I have begun collecting pieces for this next exhibit. I am so excited! Yesterday I saw some photography of a member of Trinity for the first time. WOW – he is incredibly talented!!! He will be doing a piece for the exhibit, and I can’t wait to see it! This exhibit is just for fun – and it is so incredibly exciting to see the creativity around.
After the exhibit came down (and I ate some lunch), I dropped off one of the pieces from the old exhibit off at a friends and picked up two pieces she had done for the Saints exhibit. WOW – these are incredible pieces, and I’ll have to see about getting her permission to show them off to everyone. Like my work, hers is also for sale, but unfortunately, she doesn’t have a website to show them off.
Happily my “Art by Strongheart” website is up and running again (see link to the side).
After the chaos of paperwork these past few weeks, and my entire weekend being taken up with meetings and spending time with friends (which I absolutely LOVE and look forward to each and every week), I have not had much time to work on my art. Yesterday I woke at 6am and the cable was out (which messes up my routine), so I went into my studio for a few hours and started working on a piece for the art show the end of this month. I’m not sure I will have time to finish the larger piece I started, so I am working on a few smaller pieces. I hope to be able to show off one of these by this weekend.
