On Friday I got up, picked up my chosen mom and together we went to the 10:30am St. Louis Symphony. I really needed this wonderful break – and I just LOVE the symphony. Afterwards we met up with 5 mutual friends and had a wonderful late lunch.
Saturday the 29th I will be in Ferguson at the Ferguson Artisan Fair with a booth. I will be on Church Street. If you are in the area, please drop in.
I just finished GYE NYAME (“except for God”) which is the African Adinkra symbol of the OMNIPOTENCE and the OMNIPRESENCE OF GOD. From the Akan aphorism: Abode santann yi firi tete; obi nte ase a onim ne ahyease, na obi ntena ase nkosi ne awie, GYE NYAME.
Literal translation: “This great panorama of creation dates back to time immemorial; no one lives who saw its beginning and no one will live to see its end, EXCEPT GOD.” I’m afraid the sun has set and this photograph does not offer the kind of detail I would like. I will put this on my website (hopefully with a better photo) on Sunday or Monday.
