It has been an absolutely exhausting few days for me, and I’m coming up for air for a minute before jumping back into the craziness of this time of year.
I stayed with friends in the city when I had meetings for two days in a row so I don’t have to drive back home in-between. At these meetings we planned many activities. It’s nice to hear that others think it wise to attach new meetings to other events to avoid unnecessary trips back and forth. After all, gas is $3.069 a gallon!
My lettuce doesn’t seem to be getting much taller, but I did just transplant them a week ago. Maybe I need to see how tall a one-month old lettuce is supposed to be.
I have one tomato plant that has just popped out of the old soy milk container I planted the seed in almost a month ago. That is one out of 12. I hope the others come up soon. I knew it was a little cold in my sun room – even with the full sun shining in and heating anything it hit. Come on tomatoes!!!
I received a number of comments about my last entry – some in the comments section, and others directly to my email. Thank you to all who wrote in – it really helped! I think my attitude will improve drastically when the sun comes out for more than a day every week or so, and more green things pop out of the ground.
But for now, I will continue on. I’ll do it for Erin’s Kids (who can refuse a mother asking a personal favor to keep the planet alive for her children – especially one who works so hard on it herself?) and like CindyW suggested – for the animals with whom we share the planet. Thanks also to Jen and Cindy in FL for their pep talk.
