I’ve been fighting a head cold (and losing) since Thursday. Lots of sneezing… no fun. Any ideas as to whether it is more environmentally friendly to toss the “blow and throw” tissues into the landfill or use the water to flush them down the toilet. Three boxes in 5 days – lots of tissue to dispose of.
My gas bill arrived the other day and I thought I would let you in on the news. The Average Annual American Household uses 83.33 therms monthly for household gas, and my March usage was 81.9 therms. This is down 1.72% from the national average, and (thankfully!) down 43.3 therms from the previous month.
Nine-Month Usage: My usage for July-March was 386.6 therms. This is down 363.4 therms, or 48.45% from the national average. This puts me at an average monthly therm usage of 42.95.
Given that the cold weather (God willing) will be behind us soon in this area, this usage should drop soon. It should be interesting to see what I do for an entire year.
Back to work.
