Those seem to be the two options for weather around here. Either we are in the upper 90’s and humid or we are getting rain with a side of hail or tornadoes. Neither is ideal.
This past weekend was lovely. Although it was very hot and muggy on Saturday, I still enjoyed my time outside. I spent an hour outside and an hour inside. I finished pulling the ivy from around my patio and have assessed the damage to the wooden planks holding the ivy bed in place. Mostly, it appears, it was the ivy holding the beds in place. Not much to work with for making additional garden beds this year. The railroad ties look to be the answer. I did, however, move all of my potted veggie plants away from my relaxing chairs and created a “room” complete with flowering plants.
A friend of mine is, at this very moment, mowing my lawn for me. She is a teacher and done with classes until the fall, and wanted a workout. Since I have a very large lawn and a push mower – she is certainly getting that workout. My joy is that I didn’t have to worry about cutting it this past weekend and could enjoy the days with a little contemplation.
I also took a break from the internet. That was a tough one for me. I’m the idiot who is forever checking emails. This morning I had over 90 emails – and not an urgent one in the bunch. See, the world still revolves if I don’t check my emails every hour or two.
Working on breathing today – in and out. The rest will fall into place. In and out…
