I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Northern Indiana. This annual trek to the lake is one that has taken place for the last five years, and every year it feels just as magical as the first.
Sitting out on the deck reading was one of my favorite things to do this past week. I read a lot during our trip. “Angels and Demons” was my favorite, and I am working my way through the “Tales of the City” series (and wishing I had another day or two of non-stop reading to do just that).
We, of course, spent time out on the lake just cruising along in the pontoon boat. Looking at all the different style of houses. We also went swimming off the boat – and I came home with a bit of a sunburn. It was well worth it – I had such a good time!
As always, it was sad to leave. There is a wonderful sense of peace for me, from being around a lake like this one.
