I’ve been back from vacation for a few days now, and I have been trying to get my house and yard in some type of shape when time permits. The weeds seem to have taken over EVERYTHING outside – walkways, cracks in the driveway, my brick patio, the flower gardens, the veggie gardens… I have been pulling weeds like crazy since I returned.
The last few days have been so pleasant outside – very low humidity, sunny and a slight breeze. Today I put the last load of laundry on the line.
I had a friend and her daughter over to the house yesterday and was embarrassed to see large dust bunnies scattering across the foyer tile as we walked through. The house had not had a good cleaning in several weeks, and it was/is long overdue… I’m working on that as well. Today all the windows are opened and that will help with that musty smell that comes when everything has been closed tight for a while.
I mowed the lawn early this morning, and while doing so, started to brush away a fly from my neckline and discovered lots of tiny blisters, compliments of the sunburn I received last weekend. From my vantage point, I look a bit like the lizard-monster that slithers out of the bogs… not a very pleasant sight.
I’m just trying to move forward… one step at a time.
